Directions to Kenmure, New England, Barkly East

From Bloemfontein/Johannesburg:

From Bloemfontein take the N6 to Aliwal North (200km).
From Aliwal North take the R58 towards Lady Grey and Barkly East.
Take the first New England turn-off on the left (approx. 40km from Lady Grey) onto a gravel road
Follow this road for 7km and you will get to New England Station.
Take the left fork and go over the railway line.
Travel 200m and turn left to Kenmure.
Travel time from Bloemfontein = approx. 3,5 hours

From East London:

From East London take the N6 towards Aliwal North.
After Jamestown take the gravel road right towards Lady Grey.
When you get to the tar road, turn right towards Barkly East.
Take the first New England turn-off on the left (approx. 30km) onto a gravel road
Follow this road for 7km and you will get to New England Station.
Take the left fork and go over the railway line.
Travel 200m and turn left to Kenmure.
Travel time = approx. 3,5 hours

From Durban:

Take the N2 to Umtata.
After Qumbu turn right to Tsolo (40km before Umtata).
Follow the R396 to Maclear.
Take the R56 to Elliot.
Take the R58 to Barkly East.
5km out of Barkly East take the first right to New England on a gravel road.
Take the left fork to New England.
At the next fork, turn right and go over the railway line.
Travel 200m and turn left to Kenmure.
Travel time = approx. 7 hours
